Activity Day kicks off the Senior Peer Program in August just before school begins. It serves as orientation to the Upper School for all ninth graders at GA and Brunswick. This all-day event includes activities that allow freshmen to get to know one another, their senior peers and the school. Subsequent meetings once a week during the first semester provide a comfortable environment for freshmen to integrate into their new school and its academic, athletic and social demands.

Senior Retreat occurs in late August and is designed to prepare the senior peers for their semester as facilitators of a freshmen group. Held at Camp Sloane in Lakeville, Connecticut, the retreat provides an opportunity to develop the skills necessary to facilitate a group and to deepen each senior's self understanding. The seniors then meet weekly on Monday nights to prepare their freshmen sessions and to further develop their skills as group facilitators.
