Mike Hannigan:
At the Hartong Rink at the
Edwards
Campus and the ice rink at Middlebury
College, one could have seen the skills
and deft style belonging to Mike. We
are fortunate this year to have Mike as
he splits his time between teaching in the Brunswick Middle School,
coaching
the middle school hockey team, and assisting the boys in the Junior Bruins clinic.

Dr. Grisler/Patrick Grisler
Another fine father - son combination has joined our ranks. As a chief
surgeon and a coach of New Canaan's sole female varsity goalie, Dr.
Grisler brings to the ice his understanding and creativity. He also
brings Patrick. Being a skilled coach and the son of one our talented
coaches are not the only attributes this fine young man possesses. He is
one of the finest character role models your children will ever see.
Watch him and see what we mean. |

Justin Sellian: I've known Justin since he first stepped
out on the ice. (Don't ask me when that was). Justin loves the sport as
much now as he did when he was playing youth hockey at Hickory Hill,
Eagle Hill, and the Portchester Blades. A great skater, Justin will
bring his magic upon the ice; the boys will surely love him.
Robert Grande and son, Robert Jr.: Robert Sr. skated
gracefully for Salesian High School; while in college in Boston, he
devoted his time to Boston University's club hockey team. Robert, his
son, plays with Pee Wee A Bedford Bears and can't wait to work with the
the boys.

Charlie
Doar:
He hails from the second city, but he comes to us not as a Black Hawk
fan, but a devout NY Ranger supporter. Way to go, Mr. Doar.
Playing for the Rye Rangers as a Mite and Squirt created his fond
connection with the Broadway Boys. You can see him run his
game with the boys on Saturday. Please do not look for any horns (see
above image), for he is a gentle and pure guy who loves the sport.

Jeb Buck and
Travis - another talented father son team grace our presence on the
ice... Experience and the hearts of teachers - the two are a pair to
witness. Mixed into their group at center ice are several Middle School
B hockey players who remember what it was like to learn how to skate at
the clinic. The boys in this group are truly lucky to have such
leadership. We love you, Jeb, Travis, Ali C. and Michael MH

|
Our John - what more can anyone say? John returns to the clinic excited
and motivated to work with "the boys." John brings something
(or should I say someone special to
the clinic that all must come and witness). John's experience with
playing, coaching and teaching make him a huge asset. By the way,
welcome to the coaching staff, John Jr. (in case the readers had not
guessed who the special someone was). |

Steve Garnett, Michael Fink/Brian Callahan
All three of these gentlemen have evolved (so to speak) into students
of the game. Steve (Iron Man) hails from Dennison where he graced their
fields with his lacrosse and football skills. Michael, the Middle School
hockey coach and little guys' favorite, comes on the ice with the the
warmth and welcome of a stuffed teddy bear under a Christmas tree.
Brian, former Hickory Hill and Eagle Hill School Hockey coach attempts
to walk in the footsteps of these great role models. We ask you, though,
which one of these gentlemen resembles the ape. On Feb. 26, 2006 it was
discovered - Mr. Fink... but you knew that already.

Audrey Esmond -
Years ago Laura Stamm (logo comes from her website) showed the skating
world that figure skaters could show hockey players a thing or two about
ice skating. (The cool skating figure above comes from her web site).
Joining us on the ice with that Laura Stamm mind-set is Audrey. You will
be able to spot her immediately - she's the enthusiastic one wearing the
bright colored golden jersey with the big C on it; and, of course, she
will be wearing figure skates.

The "Boys"
Jesse Zannino,
Charlie Castine, Travis Buck, Willy Rosato, Harrison Waddill, Michael
McGuire, Harrison Otzamel,
Tucker Brown, Sam Callahan: Talented, Inspirational,
Good-hearted, and eager to assist your boys on the ice - these true
gentlemen offer these characteristics and more. Hailing from some of the
finer ice skating clubs in the area - Greenwich Skating Club, Greenwich
Blues and Darien, all of these boys are welcome additions to our
program.

The Brunswick Hockey Club - Ben Weisberger ,Peter Castine,
Brian D'Angelo,
For three years Brunswick Hockey players (Peter Casine et al) have come
diligently to offer their assistance to the boys on the ice. Patience,
talent and devotion are best attributes offered by these gentlemen. We
are glad they are back, and we appreciate the time they are wiling to
give to the boys. Our newer addition, Ben Weisberger possesses all of the
attributes mentioned above. How lucky we are to have these stars on the
ice! Skating for the Varsity squad this year, these boys are hard working
souls and
brings depth to our program. |
