Guidelines
"Be Prompt, Be Prepared, Be Pleasant and Participate"
Required
Materials:
• Bring your course text book to class everyday.
• Bring a Graphing calculator (TI-84 silver edition)
to class everyday.
• Bring only a pencil for written work
Home Work:
• Homework is assigned regularly and you are
expected to complete on time.
• Homework will be checked regularly. Assignments
submitted late or incomplete will affect your final grade.
• Homework is 5% of your grade.
• You will be able to get your homework for the week
in class on Mondays or from Wicknet.
Class Notes:
• You are expected to maintain a Math notebook –
notes will be reviewed frequently.
• Problems which are solved on the smartboard should
be carefully noted.
Grading:
• Tests and quizzes will be assigned at least two days
in advance.
• Mental math tests will be administered each
Trimester and will count for 5% of your grade.
• Any tests missed because of absence must be made up
promptly upon return to school. A general rule will be that
a student will be given as many days to make up a test or
other work as he was out of school.
• Your quarter grade will be a weighted average of
tests, quizzes, mental math, homework. Tests ( 60% ),
Quizzes ( 30% ), Mental arithmetic ( 5% ), HW ( 5% )
Plagiarism
Statement:
• You are not allowed to store formulas and procedures
on your calculator in tests.
• If a student is found to have cheated on any type of
assessment, he will receive a 'zero' grade on that
assessment.

• Raise your hand and think first before answering
• Be considerate of others and listen carefully.
