Class Policies

Materials needed for class everyday:

Course textbook and/or worksheets, graphing calculator, notebook

The College Board’s website has a complete list of everything we will be covering in this course:

 Homework:

All homework should be completed on time and in pencil.  Please be mathematically precise and pay close attention to the form and content of your work.  If I stress details in class, you are responsible for those details in your work!

Occasionally a written assignment may be graded; if you are having difficulty, you may only ask a Brunswick math teacher for assistance – no one else!

If you are absent from class, be sure to check with a classmate to see what you missed if you are unable to reach me.

We may go over some homework problems in class, but not everyone’s questions can be answered.  If you are stuck on a problem or concept, please try to get it sorted out before coming to class (see me, ask a classmate, keep at it!)

Tests and Quizzes:

Tests will be given at the end of each unit.  Quizzes will be given as needed and they will usually be unannounced.  Be prepared!

Questions on tests and quizzes are my work.  They should not be shared with other students.

Show all of your work so that you may earn partial credit.  Do not give multiple solutions:  put a line through the one(s) that you don’t want me to grade.  If you give me more than one solution, I will need to grade the one that will earn you the fewest points.

You may not store formulas or procedures on you calculator to be used on tests or quizzes.

Your grade for the quarter will be based on a weighted average of your tests and quizzes.
