Here is what it does:
A BIBLIOGRAPHY is a list of sources including books, encyclopedias, newspapers, magazines, pamphlets, interviews, and electronic media used by the writer of a research paper.  All the sources used are listed alphabetically.

All sources in a bibliography must be arranged alphabetically in one list, with books and web sites listed together.

Please note the format of the following citations. The first line of each citation is aligned with the left margin and the next line is indented.

Book by one author
Bode, Janet.  The Colors of Freedom: Immigrant Stories.  New York:  Franklin Watts, 1999.

Book without an author
Computer Age.  Alexandria, Va.:  Time-Life, 1992.

Book by two authors
Jennings, Peter and Todd Brewster.  The Century  New York:  Doubleday, 1998.

Book by three or more authors
Kessler, James H. et al.  Distinguished African American Scientists of the 20th Century.
            Phoenix, AZ:  Oryx Press, 1996.

Book by an editor (for more than one editor, see the “a work in an anthology” example)
Sullivan, Charles, ed.  Imaginary Gardens: American Poetry and Art for Young People.
            New York: H.N. Abrams, 1989.

A work in an anthology
Bradbury, Ray.  “Another Fine Mess.”  The Best from Fantasy and Science Fiction:  the Fiftieth

Print encyclopedia article (find the author of “the article” not of the volume)

(note how dates are written below, i.e. today is 27 September 2002)
Include:
Author responsible for page (may be an individual or group).  “Title of page.”
            Updated [only if date is stated on page].  Viewed [date you viewed the page].
            <url or web address>.

Periodical ( journal, magazine, or newspaper) article from an electronic database
Include:
Author responsible for article.  “Title of article.”  Title of periodical.
            Date of volume or issue:  page #.  Name of database.
