SP 108 – Sr. Ocaña FECHA:
LAB ACTIVITY NOMBRE #1:
NOMBRE #2:
COMIDAS DEL VIEJO Y DEL NUEVO MUNDO
|
Some believe that the New World’s (el Nuevo Mundo) most important gift to Europe was not gold, silver, or jewels, but FOOD. In the 1400s, Europeans were used to a bland diet with little variety. After the Spaniards brought back fruits and vegetables from the Americas, the eating habits of Europeans changed forever. Spaniards also brought back to Europe animals that were, up to that point, unknown in the Old World (el Viejo Mundo). |
SECCION 1. Look at the following chart. First, use the resources on the Web to translate all names of foods and animals to Spanish (= column #2). Then, try to guess if they belong to the OLD WORLD or the NEW WORLD, and check the appropriate column (= column #3 or #4).
