- Expresiones del tiempo - Weather expressions

In Spanish when you talk about the weather we use the third-person singular of the verb “hacer”:

- ¿Qué tiempo hace? = What's the weather like?

Hace + (muy) buen / mal  tiempo

Hace + (mucho)  sol

                        calor

                       fresco

                        viento

                        frio

-         Está lloviendo  or   llueve = It is raining

-         Está nevando   or   nieva = It is snowing

This is to indicate that it is raining or snowing but if you have to make a general statement you used the third-person singular of the verbs “llover” and “nevar”:

-         Nieva mucho por aquí = It snows a lot around here.

-         Llueve muy poco por aquí = It rains very little around here.
