Nunca estudio en mi casa = I never study at home

Sam raras veces hace los deberes = Sam rarely does his homework

A veces ellos hacen los deberes = Sometimes they do their homework

Frecuentemente el se porta mal en clase = He frequently misbehave in class

Indefinite and negative words: indefinite words are words that do not refer to anything or anybody specific. There some indefinite words that have contrasting negative forms:

Algo = something

Nada = nothing – not anything

Alguien = somebody

Nadie = nobody – not anybody

Siempre = always

Nunca = never

A veces = sometimes

Raras veces = seldom

 

You have learn in the past that the most common way to make a Spanish sentence negative is to put the word “no” before the verb.

 

 

Adverbs ending in   -mente

 

The ending   -mente   takes an adjective and turns it into an adverb. The ending  

-mente   is equivalent to the English  -ly.
