French is introduced in fifth grade at Brunswick. The Middle School French curriculum is a four-year, multi-sensory program that constitutes French 1 at the Upper School level. The Discovering French text and workbook put focus on each of the fundamental language building blocks: listening, speaking, writing and reading. The program also uses DVDs and interactive CD-ROMs to enhance the learning experience and language acquisition of our students. Finally, there is an on-line practice site that the boys can and should use as often as possible in order to prepare them for functional use of French.
