ITALIAN II
HONORS
This is a rigorous course which builds on
Italian I. It is for students who have a strong linguistic
ability and who are eager to work at a rapid pace. The
Prego program is continued which combines a traditional
approach to learning a language with the best in new
technology, including an interactive CD-ROM and on-line
audio programs. The entire textbook is finished in this
course, providing the student with all necessary grammar to
speak and write Italian with increasing fluency. The text
provides ample opportunities for reading contemporary
passages of Italian that are used as the basis for
conversation and for writing short essays. There is a
strong cultural component in this course that emphasizes
the relationship between language and culture.
