Scenario Paper Guidelines

*Each paper will be worth 100 points, or about one-third of your points-possible total for each quarter.

*Papers should be about THREE pages, at minimum (That's around 1000 words).

*Your discussion should play out the "What If? dimension of the assignment--that is, it should follow some sort of informed counter-factual pattern of your own imagining rather than simply following "factual" accounts as reported by historians.

*I will be looking for the highest quality analytical and prose skills you can muster.  In other words, even though the exercise will be a counter-factual one, you still need to show your best thinking and writing.

*There must be sufficient evidence of familiarity with the recommended reading (as indicated in your course syllabus) and/or sufficient knowledge gained from outside research.
