The best way to check to see if I am around is to send someone to my office around 9:15 am, if my black bags are not near my desk (I have two--one for papers one for my laptop) then you WILL NOT have class.  If the bags are there--then class.

The person who checks on this should "pass the word".  Worst case scenario is you come to the classroom and find out you have a free!
