A clock stopped ¾Not the Mantel’s ¾

Geneva’s farthest skill

Cant put the puppet bowing ¾

That just now dangled still ¾

An awe came on the Trinket!

The Figures hunched, with pain ¾

Then quivered out of Decimals ¾

Into Degreeless Noon ¾

It will not stir for Doctor’s ¾

This Pendulum of snow ¾

The Shopman importunes it ¾

While cool – concernless No ¾

Nods from the Gilded pointers ¾

Nods from the Seconds slim ¾

Decades of arrogance between

The Dial life ¾

And Him ¾
